Hi did you run the wire corectly for the sensor in the hub? it sounds like the wire is being pulled when you turn or brake and its loosing contact with the sensor.Or the plug mite be loose hope this helps

Likely blown fusible link, or you have interrupted circuit to the ignition switch or tripped security system. Best bet is blown fusible link.

Traction light on

Traction light is part of the ABS brake system. I had to the same problem 2 years ago and my auto repair guy said it was my front hub bearing. I replaced both sides with new hub bearing (right & left wheel) and now I have to replace the left one again. The thing about 04 grand prix gt they have a wheel/hub bearing problems. GM never recalled for this problem

Have a 2004 Pontiac Grand Prix, Just got the front breaks fixed and I still have a Servise ABS System & a Service Traction System light come on. What may be the problem?

well pontiac have an abs sensor at each wheel and a traction sensor at each drive wheel aka 2 front wheels any one of those sensors could be faulty throwing the warning lights.

that being said your mechanic should be able to pinpoint what sensors are bad with code reader

also if the problem was corrected with repair you had done it could take up to 100 miles to shut the warning lights off

please if this helps you in any way please leave me good feedback thanks

My ABS, traction control, and steering assist lights are on in my 2004 pontiac grand prix gt. The rear wheel bearing assembly was just replaced. what would cause this?

Hi, the wheel speed sensor and tone ring are built into the bearing/hub assembly. Make sure the new hub contains an ABS wheel sensor and the cable was properly connected. If it is properly connected, the new hub may be defective.

My traction control botton wont work on my 2004 grand prix is this a diy problem?

one question is your abs or brake light on. you might have a wheel abs hub going out and not reading that will prevent traction control to work

Traction Control Off and Service ABS System

If your trac and abs are both on. the problem could be a wheel speed sensor.
on some GM cars this sensor is built into the vehichles hub unit. making the bering and sensor one sealed unit. cheap hub units can be gotten (under 100 bucks) at autozone
