Why does it sputter at low speeds and now is stalling out after warming up. Could this be because I let it run low on gas and I need to get a gas treatment?

Amanda: When was the last time the Gas Filter was changed? ...Also has the Distributor rotor been changed? The problem sounds like a clogged fuel filter...Changing the Rotor is a $5 good idea...See photos below...The filter and rotor can both be bought for $20...Once the filter is changed, i would suggest adding a can of SEAFOAM...Cost is $9 a can at most auto part stores...Pour it in the tank the next time you fill...It's an excellent internal cleaning product...

I changed plugs dist cap and rotor button also plug wires. still sputters like it has bad plug wires.

Check the fuel filter, and you may have some bad fuel with water and contaminates in it.Use some additives called lucas fuel treatment and heet a good fuel dryer.

Fuel Injection Problem I believe.

If the jeep is a 2000 and you have never changed the fuel filter, I would highly suggest you do. You might want to get a full tune up while your at it. Plugs, wires, cap and rotor if it has it. Air filter as well. That's simple maintence and won't hurt to do. Might just make it run like new again.

First change fuel filter and then change air filter. A turbo requires good air flow to spool-up correctly

199 Jeep cherokee stalls without warning

Does it start right back up after it stalls? make sure all conections are tight at fuel pump, sounds like it could be loosing ground at pump, or hot lead is loosing its connection at pump. Also fuel pump relay could be getting hot and quits working.
