Mine usually runs right smack in the middle. If it's middle or under you are fine. If it's over half way, then you need to change your thermostat, or you cooling fan isn't kicking on when it should. There is a temp sensor that controls the fan.

that is not normal. sounds like you have the start of a bad intake manifold gaskt leak coming . GM 3.8 have bad intake gaskets. there something I want you to check please. 1998 gran prix blower motor only works on #5 speed what can be the problem?


The fan control switch is a thermostatic control, meaning the resistant range is now out of operating range youll need to replace that control

change the sending unit to the fan, if that doesnt work check for power too the fan or even a bad fan
