1st move is to ck the fuel PSI & emissions. Possible cooling system cause.Scan computer & check sensor readings & the emissions readings are the first moves. Check spark plugs, ignition spark etc. Good luck
On electronic fuel injection pumping an pumping an pumping the gas pedal does nothing without the engine running ! Pushing the gas pedal to the floor will cause the PCM - engine computer to go into clear flood mode .
You have some very interesting ideas here , but not really how it works or is !
The vehicle will go into closed loop fuel control when the engine coolant temp reaches a definded temp an the O2 sensor get hot.
She would run for a couple minutes and die which is open loop when running, closed loop is when the sensors kick and it would die. Pulled spark plugs, they were black meaning no spark. Can only be 2
Black spark plugs indecate a rich condition , over fueled , wet spark plugs indecate no spark .
If you are sure right after the engine dies you have fuel I would think it was the coil going bad see if yiou have spark right after it dies. If you have spark squirt gas into the throuttle body and see if it starts
Take out the spark plugs again, put a little bit of oil down each cylinder, see if that helps. If it does, you might get a compression tester to check to see if one of the cylinders has lost compression (EG, a head gasket blew, etc ...)
Is the catalytic converter original? sounds to me like it just might be clogged in the short period car is running how hot is the catalytic getting (careful when touching sounds to me like its getting really hot) check all intake and throttle body bolts for tightness intake boot not cracked all intake clamps tightened and checked for good seal.
Well your problem is either gas or spark as if you have gas to the engine all the time then your spark must be no good which means either the ciol is overheating and breaking down or the condencer is doing it,,so take the plug lead off as soon as it dies and see if you have a good spark { thats lay another plug in the lead and lay it on the engine for a earth and see if you have a spark} if yes then your problem should be petrol problem.....
check the fuel preasure , also will it restart after it dies, if you have spark and fuel it should run, maybe not enough fuel preasure? thats only if it wont restart, good luck.
