SOURCE: front A/c blower motor not working, rear blower

check the resistors located under the hood, passenger side in the air box. two screws hold it in place as well as a wire harness to un-plug. common problem on gm and chrysler.
If thats not broke and rusted, then check the motor, fuse, and the relay.

2000 durango blower

The blower motor is located under the passenger side of the dash. there should be power on the dark green wire at the blower motor. If there is no power check the 40 amp blower fuse and the blower relay. If there is power than ground the light green with white wire with the blower motor plugged in. If the blower does not come on than the blower is bad. If the blower comes on than you have a ground issue. The system is ground side controlled which means the switch provides ground. If the blower does not work on high I would suspect the ground wire is burnt on the backside of the switch since high speed bypasses the resistor.

you have the dash out? the dash and hvac box have to come out to get enough clearance to get the blower motor out. one of Chrysler's smarter ideas, don't you think?

How do I replace the blower motoer on a 2000 godge durango?

The blower motor is located behind the glove comparment and can be accessed from under the passenger's side dash. Two hex blots need to be removed from the credit card sized blower and the wiring harness disconnected. You will then have to wiggle it out and replace with a new one. Thanks for using Fixya.
