Replace the A/C cut-out thermostat switch , located in the coolant pipe near to cylinder heads.
If that does not fix the problem , you will have to replace the fan control module.

Here the part.

That is exactly the way it is supposed to behave. The logic is simple. When the key is turned to start position. it automatically switches on the electricity in the circuits in the car. The fan takes its power from the battery and you have just come to the start position of the ignition key. For cranking the current required by the starter & the coil so it automatically switches off the current being used by radio, audio and all such items which is not required to start the engine, temporarily like radio/audio tape/CD/DVD player and the headlights too, if they happen to be on. It is very common with the radio/CD player is playing and the drivers turns the ignition key for the start, the player gets silenced till the cranking by the starter fires the engine and the player resumes playing again. I hope I ave been able to convey the logic so that its easy to understand................sodeep
PS: Don't worry this is the built-in system and the behavior of the car is perfectly OK

That means the thermostat is malfunctioned. After having started the engine, which is cold, does not require the fan for cooling the radiator immediately. After running for a while the engine will naturally get warmer and from then onwards the thermostat is responsible regarding when to start & stop the fan. Replace the thermostatic assembly and there should solve your problem.................sodeep

My Kia Spectra Wont start after over heating

are the timing marks al in alignment if you changed the belt..also some systems require to be reset on the computer if the codes are still present.. take the negative cable off completely with the key in the run position.. then shut the key off and reconnect the negative..turn the key to run for a few seconds to allow all the factory presets to align.. then retry to start..

VW Jetta fan, wipers, headlights work until engine starts. Then they do not always function.

I would suspect you have a defective ignition starter switch, this is the main switch the the ignition key cylinder operates and it powers up the while electrical system,. It is under the steering column covers.

My 1995 cadillac seville sls has a problem with the fan running before i start it, causing the check engine light to come on. When the fan stops the light goes off and it starts fine. What should I do?

The check engine light is supposed to come on when you turn the key to the on position. That proves to you that the light is not burned out. The check engine light then goes out within 5 seconds after the car starts. That is normal. Also the heat and air all come on when you turn the key to the on position. I don't think there is a problem there at all.

How do I turn off service engine light on 1988 volvo 740 gle

One way that always works is to disconnect the battery for at least ten minutes. If the cause of the check engine light turning on in the first place is not fixed, then the light will come on again pretty quickly after starting the car.
To reset your service light here are the steps.

1. Get in your car and shut the door.
2. Put your key in the ignition
3. Turn your ignition key to position 1
4. Push in your Odometer reset button and hold it in while holding it move the ignition key to position 2 while holding down the odometer reset button.
5. After couple of seconds of holding the button down and the key in position 2 your service light will start to blink once that happens let go of the reset button and start the car.

sounds like security shut down which will start run for second then shut down after several time the security will shut down completely.......you can try what is called the relearn proceedure..this is what you dealer will do...might have to put battery charger on car first... then put key in ignition and turn to the run position do not crank leave it in the on position for ten minutes...... then turn key to the off position then back to the run position again for another ten minutes.....for the last time turn key off then back to run for the last ten minute cycle.... after the final ten minutes is up turn key to off position then attempt to start... let me know

Security light stays on, and car won't start.

leave key in "ON" position (not start) for EXACTLY 10 MINUTES! As SOON as the light shuts off, turn key and start key.

Every time you put key in, turn and start right away, DO NOT HESITATE.

There is a problem with the car's computer causing this problem IN ALL GM VEHICLES.
