Cbridges2232,

Any luck with your keyless remote issue? I'm having the exact same problem with my Ford F150 CrewCab after car battery replacement.

Should not have happened,
For the Factory RKE ( Remote Keyless Entry ) have you tried reprogramming the key fobs to your truck. The procedure is in the owners manual ( need all of them at programming time ).
This is stored in NVR, and should not need to be done, but worth a try.

If this is an aftermarket Remote start / alarm, check the owners manual for t on battery replacement. Have seen some off brand with strange battery ( truck's battery that is ) replacement steps.

Been down that road already with my 2002 Supercrew. My remote had become intermittent and also required several attempts. I tried a new battery first with no results. I replaced the key fob because the push buttons had become "mushy" anyway and it has been fine ever since. The buttons wear out if you use it as much as I do...

Key will not start f150 truck I can circumvent and turn it over but how do I put in new switch

Disconnect negative on battery. Pull steering wheel with steering wheel puller. Take off turn signal assembly.

Put key in old lock, turn to on, you will see small hole on top of steering housing, put in stiff wire to push back retainer holding old lock, pull old lock out, install new lock, reverse procedure.

I have a '98 Ford F 150 and the power door locks will lock but will not unlock. Do you have a wiring diagram that will help me troubleshoot the problem or is this a common problem with Ford that someone...

ck if either pass or driver switches will work. the lock actuators are common to be bad, but, if they lock but wont unlock more likely a switch problem.

My F150 only clicks when I try to start it.

find the starter solenoid and try to read the voltage on it when someone turns the key. it could be a starter or thr solenoid which are both do it yourself repairs with correct tools.

1998 Ford F-150 won't start w/ the key, but will w/ remote start.

Make sure the key is good. If you have two keys try the other one and see if it starts. For some reason the computer is not reading the chip in the key. The keys might need to be reprogrammed.
