Replace the evaporative emissions leak detection pump, this is a known fault with this system and model.

I cleaned the battery terminals as I appeared to have trouble with the battery. In disconnecting the ESP/bas , both airbag, slippery surface indicators all stay on and appears computer won't reset...

I'd try bringing it to any of the larger parts stores and ask if they can scan the codes (they usually do that free) After they have finished, ask if they can clear the existing codes. That should turn the warning lights off. The system itself goes through self diagnostics about every fifty miles or so. Likely if you do nothing except for driving it, once the on board diagnostics have self checked, it's likely the lights will go out by themselves.

I have a 2002 jeep liberty with engine light on. Took it to autozone for a diagnosis and code PO161 came up. I know its an O2 sensor, It says to check circuit fuse. Where do I find the circuit fuse and how...

P0161 is 02 heater Circuit ( Bank 2 Sensor 2 ). There is no mention of any Fuse and there should not be .Circuit refers to the two wires extending from the jeeps computer dirrectly to the 02 sensor in question which would be in this case Bank 2 sensor 2. So the computer is transmitting a signal to the 02 sensor and not receiving a sgnal back it automatically thinks the circuit is at fault, when it is not.It is not receiving any Data back from the 02 sensor because the sensor is defective and needs to be replaced. If you replace one sensor you should replace all 4 of them. If you only replace one then it will be transmitting Data back to the computer at a much faster rate than the other 3 old ones and this could cause more problems and more codes to be set by the computer.Remember to have all the codes cleared from the computer after all repairs are compleated, This will turn off the check engine light. Good Luck and have a good XMASS.

My 2002 rav 4 when i change gears it jumps

Is the check engine light illuminated? If so have the vehicle scanned for codes. Depending on what the codes indicate a repair is necessitated.
Sounds like a shift solenoid(s) may be the problem or the ECU. Unless you have training in transmission repair I suggest bringing this to a Transmission repair shop ( preferably an ASE Shop). The ECU are known to eat upt the gears on these models. Good luck

Not trying to be shrude here but for an ASE certified master mechanic for GM, why don't you just use the codes with the ODBII Scan tool and fix the issue. You have the codes so run with it!

02 jeep liberty won't shift into 3rd or 4th gear.

Ratio codes generally indicate a pressure loss & slipping which the computer reads as a gear ratio problem. Likely you need a rebuild.

2003 jeep liberty air bag light on is it easy to fix

The system needs to be checked for cades. Airbag codes are pulled out of the ECU with the use of a scanner tool. A good auto mechanic shop will have this or you can go to the dealer. YOU SHOULD NOT TRY TO REPAIR THIS YOURSELF,YOU COULD ACTIVATE THE AIRBAG!!!!!
