You will need a 7mm and 8mm sockets, ratchet and side cutters. 3 7mm bolts hold the glove box on dash. remove glove box, easier to see. remove 3 8mm screws holding blower motor on. remove clip holding fan blade on with side cutters, reinstall. Good luck.

Replace blower motor 1998 2.5 tl

I just had to have the blower motor replaced in my 1998 Acura TL 3.2. It is a big and difficult job. Parts & labor was $1,200. Ouch! Luckily I have an excellent indie mechanic that I trust to do a great job.

How to replace catalytic converter on 2001 taurus 3.0 ohv

You obviously have to raise & support the car &
get under it, to see what is involved

No different than any other exhaust system component
replacement.

Everything will be rusty & hard to remove & may require
buying more tools, than you used on the last job you may
have done

2002 cad deville heater only comes on after slaming passenger door servel times hard, why? what needs to be replaced? thanks

Hello: It sounds like you may have a loose connection at the blower motor or the power module. Remove the close out panel under the passenger side of the dash. the blower motor is on the bottom of the heater case and the power module is close to it. the next time it doesn't come on wiggle the wires on the module and the motor and see if that makes it come on. Also check the connectors for any burned wires/connectors.

A/c blower fan not working on an 2006 avalanche. The Air conditioning or blower motor not working. how do i troubleshoot. it has a digital display with two temp setting. It does'nt work even with the a/c...

check the fuses, your owners manual will show where they are located, if this isn't the problem then you may need to replace your blower motor, a simple job in most vehicles requiring a minimal amount of tools and a little electronics knowledge

My 1986 heater blower motor stopped working. I replaced the resistor, and still no luck. Its either the blower motor or the switch. Is it a big job to replace the switch, if the motor tests ok?

If the resistor was bad, high speed would still work. The blower motor is likely bad. Check items before replacing them. Rap on the blower a few times, and see if it will try to spin. Check the wire on the blower motor, and if it has power, the blower is bad.

Which fuse operates the ac & heater blower on a 2001 ford Taurus. Box is under the hood with many empty socket and no diagram.

There is a fuse box inside the car to the left of the steering column. fuse 228 10 amp and fuse 208 40 amp. Check power to the blower motor connector. Check for water in blower. I have seen water get into blower motor and short out. Good luck I hope this helps.

1998 ford taurus blower won't work. Heat won't go on or the a.c. How can this be fixed or what is the cause of the problem?

Check the fuse box under the hood and look for the a/c heater blower fuse, check to see if it's gone bad and needs to be replaced. The other thing to is check if the blower fan works on high setting only, if it does, then the blower motor resistor has gone bad and needs to be replaced. Once you have gone through all the electrical fuse and relay, then good chance that the blower motor needs to be replaced. If you go to Auto Zone they will have the blower motor and resistor if you want to replace that too and they will have the step by step instructions for you to get the job done with common tools. Good luck and keep me posted, be glad to answer more questions you may have.

Trying to find the blower motor resistor on my 02 lancer

It is on the right side of the dash. Look under the glove box, there may be a cover that has to be removed to gain access to it. The blower motor is held on by three 8mm bolts.
