If its getting fuel to the rail its going to injectors just need to see if ure injectors are any good by doing check on them also one thing to keep in mind even if on injector is bad others will still work unless u getting code from it from ecm, most times a simple tune up is all u need.

Have you checked that engine oil level is okay, if so check that oil pressure switch is good. The switch is usually bypassed to start the engine, but it won't run with no oil pressure indicated...hope this helps

Why am I not getting fuel threw the injector fuel pump is pumping

The diagram is for fuel injectors, the top wire is voltage, goes hot with the key on, any voltage? The bottom wire from injector is ground, controlled by computer. If no ground have to check for rpm signal. Engine cranking, you have spark at the plugs and proper fuel pressure?

I have 92 chevy lumina i have to push the gas petle down to get started what would be the cause

I would pull idle air control valve and clean it mass air flow cleaner and see if that helps , also sounds like low fuel your fuel injectors maybe on the way out , also check fuel pressure with a gauge at fuel rail

I have a 1992 chevy lumina Z34 with a 3.4L engine. The car has been sitting for about two years. I replaced the fuel pump, and fuel filter, also I replaced the oil pressure switch but I can't get fuel...

Do you hear the fuel pump switch on when the ignition is turned on by listening at the fuel pump with ignition on you should hear a hissing sound for a few moments and then once the fuel pressure is reached the pump will stop. If not check the electrics and fuses.

My 92 chevy lumina wont start it will turn over when you try to crank it but not getting any connection

Hi there:
You will have to pinpoint what the engine is missing... Spark / Fuel / Compression

All three of these are tested when the engine is being cranked over. There are two way of checking for fuel. Fuel pressure and fuel trigger. Both are very important and must be present for the engine to start. Fuel pressure is self explanatory. You just hook up the gage and see what the reading is. Fuel trigger is check with a noid light. The injector gets unplugged and the noid light gets plugged in to the injector clip. With the engine cranking over, this light must blink. This is the signal to the injectors from the computer. You can have all the fuel pressure in the world, but it wont matter if the injector is not pulsing gas into the cylinder like it should.

Compression tester, spark tester, fuel pressure gage and noid light are all accessible at your local auto store. All three tests play a very important part in diagnosing a no start condition. Be extremely careful when doing these tests.

Hope this helps; also keep in mind that your feedback is important and I`ll appreciate your time and consideration if you leave some testimonial comment about this answer.

1992 chevy lumina euro 3.1 while driving the engine acts like it is going to die then it regains power and then repeats the sluggish, lack of fuel .

check fuel pressure most likely bad fuel pump. also check your oil sending unit or gauge. chevys run the fuel relay to the oil pressure switch in case the oil is so low the car wont start. sometimes the relay in between this circuit goes bad as well. if all is well check or replace the ignition module (located directly under coils) or distributor integrated if it has a distributor

1992 Lumina Euro 3.1 MPI, what tells the injectors to shoot gas? Not getting the proper fuel through the injectors and the proper time.

The ecm (electronic control module ) operates the injectors. But their are many inputs that send information to the ecm for it to decide when and for how long to operate the injectors (it opertaes the injectors by actually providing a ground to the circut) .What makes you think its a fuel issue, do you have good fuel pressure...

My 92 Chevy Lumina isnt starting. its acting like it is out of gas but it has a half of a tank and the engine is getting fuel. so its not the fuel pump or fuel filter. can anyone help me out

you can be getting fuel but it has to be enough pressure to operate injectors. this can only be determined with a gage..does it fire if u spray starting fluid in the intake and crank ? if so u havent enough pressure from pump.

No fuel injectors, intermittently

With the key on, do you have voltage at fuel injector, use a test light?
Engine cranking do you have spark at the spark plugs? I'm just trying to see if you have more than one problem? I don't know how much testing you have done?
Is there a purple wire with white tracer at ignition module, Engine cranking, there should be a dc pulse on that wire? If not, the computer won't ground the fuel injectors. In my opinion.
