I have a 1999 passat 2.8 it wont start by using the jey but u can jump the starter and it will turn over and start. i changed the ignition switch and it still wont start with a key ive noticed i dont have...

i would check your fuses because the lights and horn are most of the time on the same fuse but it sounds like you may have a cut wire to the starter youll have to trace the wire and check it

Battery died, replace battery still no rotation on start , windows won,t come up sunroof inop.

i have the same car same problem. i found you can put your windows back up by using your car key outside of the car lock and hold the key in the lock position and your windows and sunroof will close. the next time you want to put your windows down put your key in the unlock position and hold and they will go down your sunroof probably still wont work but atleast your not burning up on a hot day in june. as far as your car not starting try turning your ingition HOLD it in the START position put your foot on the break and drop the trans. into neutral and it should start. i hope this helped and good luck with your windows i still havent got mine to work :/

Lights and sunroof

I can not seem to get any of my interior lights to work in mine either (I bought it that way). I also have problems where my electric windows don't work. I was just told that it is possible the wires under the driver side floor mat are bad (it collects water or something). I will try and see if I can figure out what he means and if it helps I will let you know.
