Question about 2001 Chevrolet Malibu
That valve that you seen is to your fuel rail and may have to be bleed. So it sounds like when you had a fuel pump problem during that time you were getting air in your fuel system. After replacing the fuel pump they did not properly bleed your fuel system to the correct pounds of pressure.
