Question about Kia Sportage LX
I need to adjust the parking brake in my Kia Sportage. How do I remove the center console so I may make the adjustment from there? I have had the brakes checked by a mechanic and am told they are okay, so he tells me it is just a manner of adjustment. As long as I know how to remove the center console I am capable of making the adjustment myself, however I don't want to end up damaging the center console so I would like to be sure on how to remove it before I proceed.
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.

The park brake is the same on all vehicles. Usually on the driver side when you follow the cable, there will be an adjuster in the middle of the line. Turn to the right to tighten and left to loosten.

If your refering to the light on top of the dash that says "psgr air bag not connected" here;s the deal.
The module is activated when someone sits in the seat. Turn the key on and the notification will light. Go around to the psgr side of the car and sit in the seat and the light should go out.
