SOURCE: intake air temp sensor

It is near the jumbled up plastic mess that Toyota calls "Noise Suppression" It should be plugged into the rubber hose that connects to your throttle body. It is press fitted in and it should pull right out. Good Luck!

My 95 Landcruiser with 1FZ-FE engine runs but misses very badly, will not idle.

Sounds like a vacuum leak.

Search for it VERY CAREFULLY by spraying a shot of carb cleaner here and there. When it revs up or smooths out, you'll have located the leak.

Keep a fire extinguisher handy when doing this, and don't spray into electrical parts like the alternator or distributor!

coolant temp sensor and intake air temp sensor would be the next to check.intake air temp sensor is in the air intake tunnel between TB air air box. when running is there a DTC? by disconnecting the coolant temp sensor you put the ecm values at default try that if it corrects your issue replace it.(it will turn your check engine light on but you can clear later by disconnecting battery)
