yes it is the radiator fans that are always on. I just did an engine swap and I'm thinking it's either the temp sensor or the thermostat. I will get it off the old engine, Thanks!!!

The fan resistor is causeing this!! the resistor has different size coils for each fan speed. so if the coils burn out. no fan speed on that setting.

this is toolman, where you asking about heater fan! or engine fans, if its the engine fans, then try to change coolant tempurature sensor.

Is ask a question about a 1993 Chevy s10 truck AC blower motor when I bypass the relay the fan motor comes on full speed and a dash which will not slow down or speed it up or even turn it on

CHECK UNDER THE DASH ON THE PASSENGER SIDE AND FIND THE FAN MOTOR, THERE SHOULD BE A

Blower Motor Resistor WITH PLUG ON IT, IT SHOULD BE HELD ON WITH 2 SCREWS. THIS IS THE SWITCH THAT CONTROLS FAN SPEED.

The defrost, heater and Ac all went out on my 1993 maxima.

If the blower worked, but couldn't get cold air, there may be a leak of refrigerant in the A/C system. If you're complaint is about the lack fan-forced air; that could be a problem with the fan speed switch or a bunch of other places. Most often however, it is the speed control resistor. Why is my 1993 Audi 90cs overheating?

There are dozens of possibilities from as simple as a bad pressure cap or low coolant level to as bad as a cracked engine block. Knowing the conditions that cause the overheat would help diagnose, here's some basics--assuming the coolant is full. Only overheats at low speed is generally an airflow problem: fan not running because of a fuse, relay, temperature switch, or dead fan motor. Only overheats at high speed is generally a coolant flow problem: radiator is plugged up, faulty thermostat, water pump vanes damaged. Tell us anything you've checked, any recent repairs done, and the conditions under which it overheats.

2000 Nissan Maxima Overheating

Hi. Your radiator fan motor may be seized. Should ingage between 95-100 degrees when you parked on idle after achieving full working temp. If it doesn't, check fuse first and than relay responsible for cooling fan( you can find cavity in your owner manual. Let me know. The reason you car is ok while driving is the air going thru your radiator. When you stoped or parked for longer time with no speed there is nothing to cool your radiator. Fix it asap or eventually will cause engine over hit and seize.

The "cabin" fan doesn't work

When a blow motor acts erratically or fails, the culprit is usually a blower motor resistor. If it is not that, it will sometimes be the blower motor itself or the heating control unit. Goodluck!

Blower in 1995 maxima only works on high

Relay dosen't have to do with fan speed. Resistors always go out. Try replacing that first.

Cooling fans run continously, no a/c,

by the blower moter always being on i would think it would be the blower motor resistor, this controls fan speed and is located under the dash in the blower case easy to replace.
