Where is the heater fan relay on a Volvo 1994 850?

The blower motor relay is behind the glove box. If your blower only runs on high it's the resistor and it's behind the glove box too.

What will make a blower in a car only work on high 0n a 1996 sunfire

you need to replace the resister block located on the duct work for the blower. it will be located near the blower (fan) with at least two wires plugged into it. remove the two or three screws hold it in and replace it. make sure it's off when you do that as the resistors get extremely hot.

please take a moment to rate this solution thanks

I am tring to replace the blower resistor, can you tell me where it is located on my 1994 oldsmobile 98

The blower motor resistor is under the hood.On the back wall. You will see a plastic black panel and it should say fuses and relays.Remove the panel and there will be some fuses and relays.Below the relays and fuses you will find the resistor. There are 2 10mm nuts on each side of the relay center.Remove these and you will see the resistor connector.Remove the 2 screws and pull the resistor up.If your blower motor is not working. Before you replace the resistor try tapping on the blower motor while the system is on.If it comes on then the blower motor is bad.Good luck.

94 gms safari van heater blower not working

I had the same problem in my 1994 safari. I thought it mite have been the resistor form other peoples comments. I removed it and tested it. The resistor was fine. The heater fan relay was bad, but I was able to repair it myself. If you remove it and inspect it there should be two contacts that need to make a good connection in order for it to work properly. When the fan is on high there is a little electro magnet that pulls the contact up and engages the fan motor to full speed. When it is not on high the lower part of the contact rests on the lower half of the relay flap. if there is not a clean connection at this location you are not sending signal to the resistor which controls the other three fan speed settings. Inspect this connection and if possible clean the contacts with emery cloth and make sure that the contacts are making a good connection. This should do the trick to make the lower speeds work if the resistor is still good. If this is too much brain damage try replacing the relay first and see what happens, if you are still getting the same result then the resistor or the fan switch is bad.

Good Luck!

My blower only works on high.

Under the hood there is a fuse panel with relays and fuses, but you may also need to replace the blower speed control resistor as the relay is working if it works on high.
