88 olds cutlass ciera international getting error code 45 cant find it in the book

Code 45 is for a rich O2 sensor. If you have already changed the sensor, the fuel mixture may actually be rich.
Possible causes include a leaking fuel injector, faulty fuel pressure regulator, or other problems.

1992 olds 88 3.8 very high idle

iac motor could be bad. also check the fuel pressure regulator to make sure it isn't leaking fuel out of the vacuum connection and allowing it to **** back into the intake.

Why is oil in the breather hose?

Thats not oil more than likely its fuel and that would mean that the diaphram in the fuel pressure regulator is leaking.Pull the vacuum hose off the regulator and look for fuel if any runs out of it then replace the fuel pressure regulator. If regulator is leaking it will usally cause the engine idle high.

Fuel regulator 1992 oldsmobile 88

its on the front fuel injector rail, on the drivers end of the engine, has a small vac hose to it. Why do you want to know. they rarely go bad, but the only thing that will happen, that if you take the vac hose off, if gas comes out, its bad. Usually the complaint is hard to start warm. and in am.
