Problem for Land Rover 2004 Discovery

Land rover discovery tdi 300 fuel leak from fuel pump head joint.

My discovery is leaking fuel from between the fuel pump head and the fuel pump block. Can the fuel pump head be removed from the pump without removing the pump from the engine so the seal or the 'o' ring from the distributor head be replaced?

No I haven't fixed the problem. The vehicle is 1997 model so if you could still provide me with any assistance will much appreciated. For the Battery problem I had with the TD5 2007 disco it's all fixed. Found corroded and lose main ground terminal.
