Depends. you get what you pay for, installed could run 500-700. if you get a rebuilt its cheaper, but the quality is bad. pay for top quality and have it done by a shop that does a/c work. a quality job is more than just the parts.

What causes misfires?

If the misfire is on one a particular cylinder or perhaps 2, these issues need to be addressed and checked...
1. Power to the spark plug.
2. Coils and spark plug condition.
3. Fuel supply to the cylinder
4. Air supply to the cylinder
5. Correct fuel/ air mixture to the cylinder
6. Cylinder compression. Low compression or a cylinder compression level below spec will result in a misfire. If the compression tester shows low compression in a cylinder the causes of the poor compression reading then need to be addressed.

The fault codes generated by the computer and read by an appropriate scanner will tell you which cylinder or cylinders are misfiring.

My car is blowing cold air, but the light is flashing off and on then the air condition cut itself off.

You dont have enough freon in the system causing pressure sensors to cut compresser off or ac compresser is going out

Air Conditioning Sensor Location

the sensor/s are in the air vent block and there is on on the unit in the box. if it just stopped working it could be the pressure sensor when was the last time it was pressure tested it could be low and need topping up.

Air conditioning copper pipping has leak is there a way to repair with out replacing.

Due to Air conditioning using compressed liquid its best to replace the copper piping which should be a cheap fix you can do at home yourself, Repairing it will run risk of it leaking again in future

Air condition needs recharged

look in the phone book under auto repair. if there are no air conditioning shops, start calling radiator shops and ask them if they do air conditioning too, and get their price. take it to the cheapest place.

Air conditioning silverado

The problem is in the heater box. To be more specific, the blend door. Check blend door operation and blend door motor. Located right side under dash. Remove blend door motor, with vehicle running, move switch from panel to defog and see if blend door motor moves.

Air conditioning compressor will not kick in,

If it is above 100PSI, you are over charged. Any thing under, should be normal to low. You probably need to get it checked by a professional to make sure it has the correct charge, and the compressor is getting power when the switch is turned on.

Compresser runs battery dead

There may be two compressors. One for the air conditioning that runs off a belt bolted onto the engine. No, you don't need it if your windows will go down this summer. As long as it turns, it doesn't have to compress. (You can have other things wrong with air conditioning also). If there's absolutely nothing else being driven by that belt, the belt could even be removed if the compressor is frozen. That would save a little gas if that can be done. There might be another compressor, a little thing mounted on the drivers side inner fender well on some cars. It's for the rear shocks if the car has that kind. If the car still rides and handles ok, you can live without that guy too. Sometimes you replace the shocks with regular ones.

A/c compressor has a loose donut ring on the end of unit

You cant tieghten it up ,it has to be replaced or removed, the ring is part of the compresser clutch ,if you eliminate your a/c,just get a serpentine belt the same year car as yours but without air,but im pretty sure all corvettes have a/c could be wrong but i have had eight vets myself actually i have 87 now but ,what will happen is the compresser itself will eventually seize then you have bigger problems have you priced a clutch for your compresser,i dont think there all that exspensive, you dont have to change whole compresser ,Hope this helps

Air Condition

it sounds like a loose compression compressor.

if the compressor is loose compression, normally it sounds noisy. then suction pressure is above normal and if you accelerate and maintains that high speed, let say 2000 rpm, the suction pressure goes down to the normal level and cools your air conditioning .

tnx 4 using fixya...
