SOURCE: 2004 gto ls1 motor is running rich and dtc code is P0131

that would be your best bet it is very hard to diagnose a injected v8 with out the right equipment but speaking from experience ( due to the fact we in Australia built these cars) the oxy sensors cause all sorts of problems and swapping them over does't necercarly prove much

SOURCE: Where is the bank 2 o2 sensor located on a 2004

bank 2 is the cylinder in the front of the engine compartment near the radiator, the O2 is either in the exhaust manifold of the bank or in the exhaust pipe off the manifold, round about the size of a jumbo magic marker, you need a special O2 sensor socket to remove it in some cases, if it is in the open then a 7/8 open end wrench will work.

1996. Which color wires go where?

There should have been an instruction sheet in the box with the sensor. If not, you may have to go back to the store and ask for one.
Most sensor brands are different.

2004 mazda tribute error code p 0 136

Code 136 is for a problem with the O2 sensor bank one sensor two.
That is the sensor after the catalytic converter.
The sensor or the wiring would need to be checked.

Bad o2 sensor code p0136

A code P0136 may mean that one or more of the following has happened:
  • Faulty O2 sensor or a leak in the exhaust close to O2 sensor
  • Short to voltage on O2 signal circuit
  • Open in circuit or high resistance caused by corrosion in the connector or other wiring to the O2 sensor.
The exhaust system should be inspected and the circuits to the sensor should be tested before spending any money on an O2 sensor. This COULD be caused by the sensor itself, but then again, maybe not.

I have a 1998 chevy malibu what wire for the o2 sensor is the signal wire and theres four to choose from

On the front O2 Sensor, the signal wire s Purple. On the rear O2 Sensor, the signal wire is Purple and White. (You will probably have to look at the wire colors on the main harness side of the O2 Sensor connector, not on the sensor itself.)

04 mazda 6 lean condition

sounds like you have a vacuum leak. It is sucking in extra air from somewhere. possibly the intake manifold gaskets. The extra air coming in fools the computer / o2 sensors to believe it has a lean mixture then it will try to compensate for the lean mixture and add more fuel.
