I keep hearing a weird humming sound from rear passenger side

I keep hearing a weird humming sound coming from my rear passenger side on my 2003 Ford Mustang V6. A while back me and my dad thought it was coming from the differential....so we first tried replacing the bearings because he thought it was that was making the sound and it helped a bit but it still hums kinda loud when i press the gas. A mechanic told us to try the replacing the inner bearings. What do you think?

Well, I know that my tire is ok cause they are mainly new and I know that it isn't hitting anything too but what I do know is that it hums kinda loud only when I press the gas.

Hi, On my 2001 X-Type, I hear a squealing commin

You have a bad rear hub bearing. It at times starts as a low humming sound, then will increase to a screeching sound..you can jack the car up and have both rear wheels off the ground palce your hands at 12 and 6 pm and try to check for loseness.also if you have a creeper, just to eliminate a bad carrier bearing you can check the axle near the differential by checking it for play also. But I am leaning very much towrds the hub bearing.I have changed several of these...

4x4 ? how many miles ? jack front wheels off ground and rotate by hand feel for the grind, bad wheel hub bearing? check brake rotor dust shields, If high miles possibly front carrier or pinion bearing. Just replaced front , rear , and transfercase bearings on my 98 with 193,000 mi. And yes, they were all bad $500.00 did labor myself. did rear first as it was humming, week later grind and hum coming from front, then couple days later transfer case was also whinning, humming, good god what a project all that was but today its great and quiet.

Passenger side power windows will not roll down

Do you hear a clicking noise as if the motor is trying or no sound at all? If you hear a clicking or humming noise it is likely the track has come loose. The track is scissor like and what the window sits in inside the door. Sometimes they can derail. If you DONT hear any clicking or humming it is likely that your window motor has burnt out on that side. A common occurrence with heavy use or low power conditions. The window motor for your vehicle can be found at partsgeek it is a relatively easy fix if you are handy with tools and patient. About a 2 hour fix on weekend, but requires removing door panel interior and removal of motor

Vibration from rear on driver's side

Either the wheel is not balanced, rim is bent, or if it is accompanied by a humming sound then it is a bad wheel bearing.

2004 Xterra Weird Sound

Appears you have a broken or sticking calliper. It is not releasing when you take your foot off the brake.
Remove the wheel in question, and check the springs. Lubricate with penetrating oil, and retry.
