Question about 2005 Scion xB
I just bought a 2005 scion xb. Sometimes when I turn the car off the door lock tabs go up and down and then i cannot open the doors from the inside. This has happened to the front driver and passenger doors. If I roll down the window, I can reach out and open the door using the outside handle. The owner's manual says there is a way to reset the locks by pressing the unlock button on the key fob...I tried this and it had no effect. I hope someone has a suggestion as to what might be wrong. Any advice would be appreciated.

1st ...that should be covered under 6 year 50k power train warranty from the dealer.
But if your over....you need to unbolt the right side motor mount (on the water pump side) and lift the engine some with a floor jack to get clearance,

There are two bolts, one is at the top exactly opposite of the first one you took out. You will not be able to see it, but feel around the head of the starter where it goes into the block and you will feel where it goes.
