Drain in your wires, if you have had altinator tested and a new battery also new voltage regulator if equip. check for bare wiring use a load tester and measure the load some times it might be a acc.light stuck on or a pinched wire find a wire scematic and find how your vehicle is wired

Electrical system on vehicle goes down and than comes back on. Everything on the dash goes out and comes back on or we have to start the car again.

With electrical issues, I usually pick one component that has a problem, then check the wiring diagram for that component. If that circuit is fuse protected, so much the better, then you check fuse circuit for voltage. Some fuse circuits are hot all the time, some go hot with the key on. If the fuse circuit gets ignition feed, meaning it goes hot with the key on, have to check feed to and from ignition switch.
Sometimes intermittent problems can be hard to track. Have to do testing when problem is ongoing.

1991 chevy van won't crank put in a fully charged battery it started then turn it off and won't start up again why?

couple things come to mind: bad cable or starter has a dead spot. if it starts after hitting the starter with a hammer, you have a dead spot and need to replace the starter. If not, check both battery cables--the ground one that goes to the engine and the positive one that goes to the starter. Sometimes they go bad under the insulation. Could also be an intermittent ignition switch issue. A second test you can do to narrow down the possibilities is to put power directly to the starter solenoid (usually done by carefully crossing the big battery terminal on the solenoid with the small terminal where the ignition switch wire connects using a screwdriver), but make sure the tranny is in park or neutral. If the starter cranks, you know it is a problem with the ignition power not getting to the solenoid and not a bad battery cable.

Battery goes dead in about 4 days in 1996 buick park ave

most obvious cause could be the alternator ,one of the diodes has gone draining the battery or the battery itself its difficult to know without checking it out .Try disconnecting the battery and if it still goes flat then you know its a faulty cell in the battery .if it doesnt then try disconnecting the big thick cable on the alternator and see if that stops it

The battery wont hold a charge. the battery is completly dead after a very short period of time

Does the battery go dead while sitting or while driving? You may have a draw problem where something is draining the battery while parked, or you may have a charging problem, or you may have a bad battery, depending on how it goes dead.

Battery goes dead intermittently

Quite often the alarm system ends up being the culprit. If you have, or know someone, who has a clamp on amp gauge that can test the draw from that circuit, it should tell you what you need to know. It could be that or a combination of various draws from your system.
