Hi I have a 99 chevy blazer with abs. I'm trying to figure out whats going on with the brakes because its seem like the brake padel is sinking in when i apply pressure. I try to bleed the brakes according to procedure..thinking that it might just be air in my brake line but after i was done it still sink in. My abs comes on after a while when driving and sometimes my brake grabs and i cant break at all. It feel like there something wrong with the abs unit.. I think.. Can u help me solve my problems.. Also my car is hard to start when cold or hot..Is it the fuel pump going bad Or whats the problem??????

Sounds like the Brake master cylinder, witch is where you put the fluid. There is a metal block with metal brake lines coming off of it ,underneath the plastic jug that you put the brake fluid in that is the master cylinder. As for the hard to start could be a number of things , without visual inspection all I could suggest is maybe fuel filter or fuel pump but usually if it's the filter it will sputter going down the road.

My 1997 Chevy Blazer ABS light comes on and then shuts off but does it regularly. Also it makes a noise on the front brakes when using them. What could be the problem?

One of the wheel speed sensors is going bad probably. If the brake is shuddering when pressed like when the ABS kicks in then the sensor is bad.

I am having trouble with the abs braking system on a 1998 chevy blazer. The yellow brake light is usually off for the first few minutes of driving and then comes on and stays on until the car is turned...

the yellow light is warning you that a problem exsists with the abs. unless you are experienced with brakes and abs would highly suggest you take it to a shop.

What does a ABS sensor look like on a 97 chevy blazer

mid size blazer- take off wheel-brake caliper-brake caliper bracket- rotor-and behind the hub u will see a wire going into the back of hub and is secured by a hex/torx head bolt that is ur abs sensor it looks like a small cylinder with wires attached---on the s-10 blazer some of the abs sensors set ups-- are part of the hub assembly/wheel bearing would have to change the whole unit

2001 chevy s10 blazer abs light stays .

The abs is a add on for the brakes that when the tires come into a skid or slid they wont lock up..Your brakes will still work great with the abs disabled but your brakes will lock up if you push on the brakes hard enough to stop.Mainly abs works in slippery conditions not letting the tires lock up and keep the car rolling instead of making it slide..But no effect of the brakes will happen..Just make sure your fluid is full and there are no leaks and if you want to get them check you can stop by your local Auto Zone and they will scan your car for free and tell you what sensor is bad..I hope this was helpful to you...Have a great night

2005 CHEVY +TRAIL BLAZER ABS AND BRAKE LIGHTS ON

if chains caused problem and you have driven with them off light would have gone out once it saw everything working properly. look at sensors might have pulled a wire loose with chains. the abs system runs a self test everytime you start vehicle if it sees a history code from last time it will leave light on and look to see if that problem still exists and 99% of the time it will cut light off . but need to have scanned and checked out

2005 CHEVY +TRAIL BLAZER ABS AND BRAKE LIGHTS ON

When the ABS light is on when driving there is a problem in the anti lock brake system and you will need to have it tested to find out what the problem is. As long as the light is on the ABS has been shut off by the computer until it is repaired. There could be problems with one of the wheel speed sensors, wiring or the ABS pump. On some vehicles the red brake light will come on too.

Brakes go out at speeds over 60 mph

Glen; you have a bad wheel bearing is what it sounds like to me so here's what you do.Jack the front of the rig up grab a wheel fromthe top and bottom and try to wiggle it.if it does not move try the other one buy the sounds of it you should find some movement in one of them.If not got too a garage and just have them scan the ABS system and that should tell you which sensor is not working and that wheel should be the bad bearing since the ABS sensor is built right into the bearing.s10's are known for bearings going bad.
