My check engine light does not come on. When I first start it up my check engine light blinks then it goes off. Went to an auto store and there was no codes display, it states "PASS - No Codes Found".

Well the first thing I would do would be take it for a code reeding at your local auto parts store, they will check the codes for free, then move from there. It could be a bad spark plug spark plug wire. But it could also be a bad mass airflow sensor or O2 sensor. So this would be a good place to start out at.

A fuel filter is a pretty cheap thing and could be clogged. Check your engine code errors also. You can have them checked for usually free at any auto parts store, like Orielly, or AutoZone for example

you need code scan vechicle if check engine light is turning on.many things cause vechicle surge while driving like faulty tps sensor, faulty mass air flow sensor.clogged fuel filter, faulty egr valve, faulty torque converter clutch solenoid. best code scan vechicle save time and money from guessing.

Car barely holds an idle and sometimes stalls when coming to a stop

There could be several causes for your stalling problem.
  • Bad plugs
  • Bad wires
  • Clogged fuel injectors
  • Bad MAF (Mass Air Flow) sensor
  • Bad TPS (Throttle Position Sensor)
A basic tuneup would rule out the plugs and wires. Fuel injector cleaner will clear most clogged injectors. Once ruled out (or if the car is running smooth apart from stalling at a stop) the most common problems are MAF and TPS.
The TPS in particular regulates idling speed under all conditions. Included in this would be while the engine is warm. If your car wants to stall unless your foot is on the gas, I'd lean toward the TPS.

'96 jeep 4.0 hesitation on load/ steady speed, stalling

I am an experienced Technician , have over 30 years in the business , Chevy , Cadillac , Ford , Chrysler . An sonny your not old enough to be experienced. > sounds more like your like most people who post on here a glorified parts changer .

i believe its a bad TPS that i have already replaced 3 times. but i balieve the TPS is giving a dead spot and probably an off injector pulse width.???????????

WE TEST , NOT GUESS ! Take it to a quaified repair shop ,or go to a good automotive technology program an learn the correct way to fix automotive electronics . The industry is hurting for good Tech's , not back yard wantabees

2001 Jeep Cherokee Classic shakes and sputters when recranked after driving. Only does it once it's been driven somewhere and ignition is killed, then recranked. Doing it about a week then check engine...

Sounds like a fuel/air problem. Replace fuel filter, check/replace air filter and spark plugs, complete the tuneup and see what happens. If it still happens then suspect injectors. Run cleaner through a tank of gas. If still the same take it to a shop that can plug into your vehicle and verify injectors performance.

Jeep will start but not idle when it's cold out

You have a cold start injector. It basically primes the fuel into the engine.
It`s like the old type `choke` systems.
Get it checked at an auto electricians.

I have a 1995 Jeep Grand Cherokee with the 5.2l V8. It starts but doesn't idle. When put in gear it stalls out. I have replaced the fuel filter and put in and additive to clean the injectors and clean out...

TRY THIS PROCEDURE:
Here is the most common cause of surges and stalls and low idle, it is the idle speed control air-bypass valve and throttle valve, they get full of gunk over the miles and cause idle issues (stalls) like yours, Get a can of intake cleaner from any local parts store, not carb spray, intake cleaner, it is made by a company called CRC, remove the air intake hose to the engine, hold the idle high so the engine won't stall, then spray the can of cleaner into the intake while keeping the engine running, use at least 1/2 the can, shut down the engine and disconnect the battery for 5 minutes, then restart and complete a number of mixed driving cycles, town, freeway, stop and go etc., after a few days the problem will go away as the system will relearn to the clean intake
