If the battery is not under the hood, it could be in the trunk under the mats.

Under the hood; tends to be a rectangular prism with two posts of lead protruding from either the side or top

If the battery is not under the hood it is located under the rear seat. Pull up on the front of the rear seat abruptly to remove it from the locks.

I have a 2002 chevy cavalier. Battery is 2yo. Car will take a jump. Does not make any clicking noises, and lights, horn, radio work. Car would not start day 1,got jump ran fine, day 2 needed jump again, ran...

Weak connection between battery post and cable. Since the jumper cables bypass this, by clipping on the cable ends, the car will start with a jump. Takes less current to start a warm car than a cold one, hence it starts all day. I would look closely at the cable ends where they attach to the battery. Clean them until spotless with baking soda and water and terminal cleaner brush.

If this does not solve the problem, clean the chassis ground on the other end of the - battery cable and + cable where it connects to the starter.

Check your alternator output also. Battery should not be defective in 2 years.

Possible current drain when key is off. Put a voltmeter inline with the battery and check for draw. If you get more than a few millivolts something is on and drawing current. Glove box light maybe? Check by pulling fuses until you find the source of the draw.

The car just clicks and doesn't start.

Hello,

You may need to drive the car back to where you bought the battery. You may have a faulty battery or faulty alternator. When the car is running it should be charging from about 13.8amps and above. If the battery is completely depleted, a jump pack will not be able to jump start the vehicle.

Hope that helps.

How do I give my car a boost my battery is dead on my 2009 cts where do I charge my battery at

To jump start a car there is a set procedure that has to be followed to prevent ECM damage from power surge. Connect the positive lead form the jumping battery directly to the positive terminal of the dead battery. Next connect the negative lead from the jumping battery to the engine (Any place that is metal--head stud--lifting bracket-etc) to charge the battery remove the terminals and connect the charger as directed. However I would suggest that you have a load test done on the battery to check for a dead cell or jumping will achieve nothing

My batterie died and it want start by jumping the battery but where do i put the jumper cables to jump start it

Connect the negative (-) to the black and the positive (+)to the red of the 'good' battery car, then connect the positive first and then finally the neg. to the frame of the vehicle that is being jumped, as far away from the battery as possible.

Remove in the opposite order after the car is successfully jumped.

Don't jump a frozen battery.

Where do you jump a 2003 Saturn IOn

Connect both cables to the battery on the car jumping. Connect the positive lead to the battery and the negative to the frame or any metal ground other than the battery on the car being jumped.

Where is the Alternator located in a 1997 Lexus LS 400

If the car ran and got you home after a jump start I doubt the alternator is bad. Check your battery. And remember never ever disconnect the battery cable with the engine running.
