What is code p0760

Change the Transmission Solenoid Shift Pack

Part # HPN -9L2Z7G391A

Was $515.00--- list---- many years ago
I paid $332.20 wholesale

I have that car

That code is not in the 2004 Factory Manuals
It is Generic Code for shift solenoid C

You don't have that in a 5R55S--only on part I
showed above

Should talk about the issues

If you drove it at all, even ten miles, you may already ruined
the trans

If you fail to change the fluid every 3 years their toast,ALL Vehicles

Just a 10mm bolt up against the floor pan, that will take about an
hour to loosen, to remove the wiring harness connector

The rest is child's play

7 -T30 bolts & the solenoid pack is out

2003 Lincoln LS v6 in d3 drives normal seems like the transmission is slipping, then thrust hard and jerks while driving during acceleration. I think it may be a transmission problem but I'm not sure. ...

There's common concerns with the transmission shift solenoid packs, valve body in the 5r55s tranny this vehicle has...not a cheap repair. Sometimes a simple reprogram of the p.c.m and t.c m could take care of it, but if tranny fluid hasn't been regularly replaced, every 30,000 miles, chances are bigger concerns...recommended bringing to reputable repair shop. .

I have a 2005 Lincoln ls,about 3 months ago I had my solenoid pack changed in the trans because it shift hard in reverse and 2nd to 3rd.Now when I get on the freeway to pass stubbles,my check...

You only have one solenoid pack
It has 3 pressure solenoids &
4 shift solenoids. I guess the TTC is in there also
but don't remember it when I did mine.
Part # 9L2Z7G391A
I have a 2004 L/S V8
I don't see the PO755 in the diagnostic manuals
I have, but the PO755 is a Generic Code for Shift
Solenoid B, which is as you said in the pack & called
SSB 2-3 shift sol B commanded ON
I hope you have been changing the fluid every 3 years
since new & not having it flushed or there could be the problem
I now change mine every 2 years (myself of coarse)
When you get it figured out add a 10 oz bottle of Red Lubegard
no other product (I once owned a trans shop)
Do your power steering on all vehicles every 3 years
Pull the injector fuse & crank motor to bleed out the air

Is there a screen in the transmission on the 2000 lincoln ls

No there is not & not many screens on any transmission

Screens are not cleaned

You have a basic filter with 2 bolts holding it

5R55S or 5R55W

Only other part in the pan is the shift solenoid &
pressure control pack next to the filter

Axle stuck

This web site is not a professional prospective

It is a face book type worldwide forum of ask
& answer by anyone

I have a 2004 LS V8 & all the factory manuals &
50 years of automotive experience, but still no one
can just guess without the car to check over & you
to talk to

The rear diff is not likely locked, nor are the rear drive
axles an issue

I would go with a transmission issue

There-- I have once owned a professional trans
repair shop

You could just have a shift linkage issue or dirty
valve body

I would suspect you need to change the Solenoid
Pack inside the trans pan

It is on piece with 7 solenoids

If you don't change trans fluid every 3 years on all
vehicles they fail & any flushing services is asking
for trouble as well

2003 lincoln ls.... harsh reverse......transmission has been rebuilt & pcm has been reprogramed......

Was the Solenoid Shift Valve & Pressure
Pack, in trans replaced ?

You do realize that your transmission should have lasted
many more years.

They fail because the fluid is not changed
every 30,000 miles

Putting car into reverse after having driven short

You need a new Pressure Control Solenoid Body. 9L2Z7G391A -solenoid pack for a 5R55S Trans. $332.20. at Trans Parts supplier. Don't even call a Lincoln Dealer for a price. They wouldn't even deal with me because I have a sales tax ID, and ask too many question. They will screw you over big time. That's a common problem in a long list of LS issues, my wife has one also and I used to have a Trans Repair Shop. It will slam into Reverse cold, Slip or flair on 3 to 4 Shift. Also expect the EGR Valve to go bad and make the trans issue even harder to troubleshoot, untill it works correctly. Drop the tran pan, remove about 7 screws and change the solenoid body. Best bet, go to a trans shop, never a dealer. Also get the old fluid out of there and put Mecon V in ,with a bottle of Red Lubgard Additive.

It is like it is between gears. it sometimes

Yes they are ,and it may be the Transmission Solenoid Body/Block 4L2Z-7G391-AA inside the trans. They are around $270.00 Have to remove the trans pan and about 7 screws holding it. It has 4 shift solenoids and 3 pressure control solenoids and 1 converter lock-up solenoid in it.

I have a 1999 Ram B 1500 Van, auto transmission, 5.9 L engine.
Same problem, trans hesitates in 2-3 upshift, sometimes 1-2
to 2-3 upshift. Posts trouble code P1756 - Transmission Govenor pressure too low at below 15 to 20 Psi. Transmission pump shot or valve body leak stops trans from reaching proper pressure to shift, which is minimum 15 Psi.
Either trans is leaking in valve body, valve is stuck, shift solenoid on valve body is sticking, or pump is shot.
