Gas running in throttle body while not running it's flooding engine and cylinders and coming out of exshaust

didnt specify vehicle --generic answer --need to check throttle body and throttle body valve and fuel pressure regulator for damage dirt or stuck open ---fuel pumps at around 50 + psi so if regulator or throttle body is not closing off residual pressure will push fuel through

Engine won't start when hot

engine failed before pump, or after.. confused i am.

no matter, all gas engines work same. (in the global sense)
got spark?
the EFI cuts fuel if NO SPARK , by design (PCM brain logic programming) it tries hard to make that happen. (fire safety)

the rules for all otto cycle engines, in order.
1: GOOD compression on all cylinders, 150psi or more.
2: good spark on all cylinders. and timing. (its fixed time , year 2007)
3: good fueling,, not lean, not rich or flooding
the tests are easy, do you want to test or guess?

pretend that #1 is ok, many do. but pretend.
do not jump to #3, as no otto cycle engine runs with dead spark.

if flooded and spark is good, using a test spark pull.
use super secret WOT cranking, wide open throttle, this CUTS Fuel
on all cars, to clear a flood. its in the opr, guide that, on all cars.

I have a 1993 nissan sentra it has a staying running and sometimes cranking up it something to do with the fuel because when u give it acceleration it dies like it's not greeting the gas I changed the fuel...

Its and EFI car. (what engine size.? many engine options)
there are only 3 possibles
bad engine, seems not.
bad spark do the tuneup fully. this time. read the 60k mile list and do it
lost the it in the glove box guide.
last is EFI fueling.
once you get this far withj simple tests. (compression , spark and tuneup)
we land on fueling... too much or too little.
im not there,so cant smell it running rich or flooding or misfiring.
but i check the spark pug tips, just like grandpa did.
if they are dry, its starving,
if soaking wet with fuel its way too rich. flooding
if dry ,
we check fuel pressure next.
30PSI ok
60PSI floods bad.
10psi idles only (Bad)

we check that all 4 cylinders fire
and all 4 injectors is MPI are all good , and not clogged and leaking
state engine. size.

When 1989 305 chevy scottsdale is started cold it run good, once it reaches running temperature the throttle body adjust to rich, idle increases and if you touch the throttle it flood out. you must hold...

Change the coolant temp sensor, the one for the computer.also a leaking injector will drain fuel into the engine which shows up on a hot engine which does not want lots of fuel to start but a cold one likes it.Also a leaking pressure regulator could leak fuel into the intake sitting hot.

Gas in oil, flooding, no power

Don't run engine. Loss of power can be from washed out cylinders from gas bath. Friction also increases and engine will seize.

Check fuel pressure at fuel rail for excess pressure. Dirty injectors can fail to close. They put a pressure gauge on system and then check for a bleed down.

You can borrow some tools from big autoparts chains.

Drain oil and change filter. Temperature controls on engine can fail and keep engine too rich.

1993 chevy pickup floods when you take off

Check to see if the EGR valve is going all the way to the top upon hard acceleration. Also check to see if the fuel pressure regulator spring has broken inside the pressure regulator itself. Please note that if you decide to rebuild the regulator with a regulator rebuild kit the before mentioned spring will not be supplied in the kit that you will purchase. One more thing.. Check to see by chance if the vacume supply line for the MAP sensor is not restricted or stopped up with carbon deposits. It may also be stopped up under the throttle body itself which is easily cleaned out upon throttle body removal. Hope this helps out. "COOT"

My car always smells like gas. The fuel filter was recently replaced.

Check the fuel cap. It is often responsible for the problem. ICheck for leaks at the fuel pump, charcoal canister and throttle body. If there is no leak, then the fuel smell may be given by a too rich mixture. In that case you often have more problems because of engine flooding. Try doing a code scanning and see if there is any code stored (e.g. rich mixture, misfire, or indications of other problem. If problem is rich mixture you will smell gas at the exhaust. If mixture is too rich, check the sensors in the air intake (MAF, IAT) and temp sensor. If the problem is none of the ones I mentioned, check the EGR system. Recirculated gas smells the similarly to liquid fuel.
