Question about 2003 Ford F150 Regular Cab

1 Answer

2003 F150 4x4 does not start after sitting about a week starter grinds and dome light and underhood lights flash (Fairly new battery and altenator). Truck does fine unless it sits for about a week, and will restart with a jump. Is this a relay problem? I can hear a relay in the cab clicking with the flashing lights

You may have a parasittic draw some were check for components staying on when ignition off, also check for a loose ground also the battery may have a bad cell and not holding charge

Hi ihave porsche cayenne 2003 does'nt start when you crank its doesn't and its shown press pedal then lights still on then dme lights on, so what is a problem?

Do you hear anything when you try to start it? If not, it's probably a bad battery. Your dome light (and all other accessories) require a tiny amount of power compared to your starter, so, it's possible that your battery has enough power for your dome lights but not enough to start the car. Try jumpstarting the car, if that starts it then you probably need a new battery.

could be a number of things. like the regulator for the altenator sticking. the memory on aftermarket radios could do it. Also amps if you have one.

2002 Grand Caravan Sport, new starter, new battery, battery light came on ans has stayed on since about a week ago. Last night, in a food drive-thru, light, wipers, things went crazy for a second, felt...

Sorry to say this , but its the ECM computer. Altenator runs threw this and it is dieing or dead. You can get one at a junk yard . you will have to pull yours first. there are numbers on them that have to be matched up. junk yard should be able to help you on this. It will still need flashed/reprogrammed. Some auto stores can do this at a fraction of the cost of the dealer. call around.

Bought a 1997 mercury sable today, guy said it needed a starter, charged dead battery and replaced starter. It fired right up, was driving it home it died, oil light, battery light, and check engine light...

Try checking the altenator. If the starter and battery were gimpy, the altenator may have a blown regulator too!. It sounds like there is a short in the system causing this problem. Most likely the altenator or component in the charging loop. WF
