Check for a broken gasket on manifold, also check the IAC sensor might be sticking in the open position.

This may sound too simple, but try tightening your throttle body bolts. There are four of them and they have 13mm. or 1/2 inch hex heads. Thank you, Dana

Check the fuel pressure. It will tell you if the pump, fuel filter, and fuel pressure regulator are all good. Fuel pressure is critical on fuel injected engines.

Check your spark plugs for wear or the wrong gap.

Another possibility is a vacuum or air leak. Check all vacuum hoses and the intake manifold gasket. The GM 3.8L engine is prone to lower intake manifold gasket failures. Sometimes the upper intake gasket, too.

Runs poorly(very Rich, stumbles) when map sensor is plugged in, but runs smoother with it unplugged...new map sensor, EGR, TPS, O2, Fuel Pump, timing is right, good vacuum at map, no vacuum leaks,

If it is fuel injected you may have a bad fuel pressure regulator. The regulator is attached to intake manifold with a vacuum hose and the bladder sometimes fails causing gas to be dumped directly into the intake manifold. Only solution is to replace the fuel pressure regulator.

Where is fuel pressure regulatore located

For 2000 Chevrolet Truck Blazer 4WD 4.3L SFI 6cyl
If your engine is a 4.3L V-6 with CPI (central point injection) it is inside the upper intake manifold. The upper intake manifold is bolted on top of the normal intake manifold.

The throttle body is mounted on it and your fuel lines terminate into the center of this.

Removal & Installation
  1. Relieve the fuel system pressure.
  2. Remove the air cleaner outlet resonator.
  3. Disconnect the engine wiring harness from the retaining clips at the front of the engine.
  4. Disconnect the fuel pressure regulator vacuum line.
  5. Clean any dirt from the fuel pressure regulator and the surrounding area.
  6. Disconnect the fuel return pipe.
  7. Remove the fuel return pipe retainer.
  8. Remove the fuel pressure regulator retainer.
  9. Remove the fuel pressure regulator.
  10. Inspect the regulator filter screen for contamination. If contaminated, replace the fuel pressure regulator.
To install:

aaf5240.jpg
Fig. Fuel pressure regulator-4.2L engine
  1. Install the regulator filter.
  2. Install the new O-ring on the fuel pressure regulator.
  3. Lubricate the fuel pressure regulator O-ring with clean engine oil.
  4. Push the fuel pressure regulator into the regulator housing on the fuel rail.
  5. Install the fuel pressure regulator retainer. Tighten the regulator retainer screw to 71 inch lbs. (8 Nm).
  6. Install the fuel return pipe retainer. Tighten the return pipe retainer screw to 71 inch lbs. (8 Nm).
  7. Connect the fuel return pipe.
  8. Connect the fuel pressure regulator vacuum line.
  9. Connect the negative battery cable.
  10. Inspect for leaks:
    1. Turn ON the ignition for 2 seconds.
    2. Turn OFF the ignition for 10 seconds.
    3. Turn ON the ignition.
    4. Inspect for fuel leaks.
  11. Install the engine wiring harness into the retaining clips at the front of the engine.
  12. Install the air intake resonator.
Hope help with this (remember rated this post).

What is causing a P1131 code on 2000 ford excursion?

P1131----- H2Os-11 running lean.
Here are some possible causes:
Dirty or malfunctioning mass air flow sensor ( mounted in the air intake hose that goes from the air filter to the throttle plate).
Vacuum hose leaking
Intake manifold gasket leaking air
Low fuel pressure
Dirty fuel injectors
This is where testing has to be done to pin point the cause without having to replace things you don't need to.

I have an 02 s10 and the computers sayin i have a vaccum leak the guy at valvoline said it maybe a fuel pressure regulator but i dont know if one of my hoses are just bad please answer back thank you

Common problem is the gas cap may not be holding vacuum pressure and may need to be replaced. Start with replacing the gas cap and then work your way on to checking the purge valve to your EVAP system which i believe is located on your intake manifold on the passenger side. The other common place that is goes bad is the vacuum hose to the canister at the back of the blazer on the divers side. Good luck and keep me posted

if you have done all the above go ahead and replace the fuel pressure regulator and check the intake manifold gasket for leaks if you need any GM parts you can try Schram auto and truck parts 1-800-292-1032

Improper combustion

my first question for you is the engine light on and if so what is the engine code?

just from what you have told me i would suspect the fuel pressure regulator.
firts thing i would do is pull the vacuume line off the regulator and it should be dry.
turn the key on and where the vacuume line attaches should stqay dry (no fuel)
if you have fuel there your diaphram is bad and you need a new regulator.
it this isnt your problem you will need to check your fuel pressure. and you will need to see if whn you turn off the switch that it holds pressure. if it doesnt you may have a bad fuel injector just dumping fuel into the cylinder. if this is so you can remove your spark plugs and then you will know the one that is bad.
if you need more help[ let me know
later paul

My truck will not start. i have a new starter, alternator, fuel filter fuel pump, mas, air filter. any other suggestions. its fine once its started. i spay choke spray in it to get started.

I have had similar problems and had to replace the fuel pressure regulator. It's a major expense because it sets below the diaphram in the intake manifold. Ask your mechanic about it, it may be the issue. I would get about 30,000 miles between replacement, I've replace it 3 times since purchasing the 2000 chevy blazer new, first one was under warranty.
