Question about 1991 Lincoln Town Car
How can I tell if my temp gauge is bad. Right now it is below the cold mark and does not move but the sensor behind the gauge is war. Is there a way to test either the engine sensor or the gauge itself?
The best way to test it is to replace th sending unit.Reove the wire off the sending unit, and see if the gauge pegs out,or falls down. Then ground it,it should have the same effect. It should peg out if you ground the sening unit. When removed,it should fall. This is with the key on.If thi gauge does these things, then replace the sending unit.
