Question about 2005 Nissan Titan

06 Titan Blows No hot air

My 2006 Nissan Titan has 40,800 miles on it and the Heater completely stopped blowing hot air the other day… It still blows air but it comes out cold… Nissan says it is the AC control head and it will cost $595 to fix… $400 just for the part so if I attempt this myself it is still a heavy bill… Not to mention if the diagnosis is wrong I am out that money… Called Nissan directly at 1-800-Nissan1 and made a formal complaint. I should here from a regional rep by tomorrow. Not expecting much but you never know… In my opinion these type of things should not be happening at 40k or even 150k at that… I have owned Nissan trucks and SUV’s before and have never had any problems with them at all. I bought a Titan with that same expectation. The expectation that I was getting a vehicle that would last based on the “fact” that Japanese made vehicles, are supposed to be built to last… I guess now days it’s about making money so I shouldn’t expect that from any vehicle out there… Anyway my fear is if this kind of problem is happening at 40k who knows what kind of repair bills I will expect in the future… I am seeing this complaint on the Titan forums now that I have had this problem come up on with my Titan… So I know this is not just my problem…

Could be the obvious and easy solution...could be that the thermostat is stuck open! Titan is built on the armada platform, not 4runner...that's the frontier.

2011 Nissan Titan heater/ac fan blows on high we replaced the VBC it did not fix it, now what?

What is VBC? Ah, probably Variable Blower Control? my guess you got wires crossed, or a short around the control or even direct short to hot (12vdc) wire. Double check your work, wire connections. Instructions? with the new? double check.

Heater blows cold air

CHECK HOSES FROM RAD TO SEE IF THERE BOTH HOT.... U MAY HAVE A DEFECTIVE THER.MOSTAT.. IF NEED TO REPLACE, USE A FAIL SAFE TYPE...WHEN THEY FAIL .THEY STAY OPEN SO U DON.T OVER HEAT UR ENGINE &DO ALOT OF DAMAGE CAUSE THERE,S SOME MUCH ALUM IN ENGINES THESE DAYS... ALSO CHECK FOR AIR LOCK IN THE SYSTEM...LEAVE RAD CAP &RUN THE ENGINE TILL IT,S HOT.. WHILE THE FLUID IS CIRCULATING, IT SHOULD EXPELL ANY AIR IF ANY IN THE SYSTEM, GD LK, CHARLIE

2005 nissan altima heater blows cold air when stopped and blows hot air when going down the highway. What could be the problem?

Check your coolant level. If it is low, what you describe will happen. Water pump works faster as rpm's increase, managing to get hot coolant to heater core (highway speeds). At idle, pump is not working fast enough to get the coolant to the heater core.
