Toyota Celica gts 2000 blowing cold air when heater is on.

I have a toyota celica gts 2000 trying to fix a heater problem. It just blows cold air. After doing many things I found out that too little water come out from the engine block onto the heater coil. The car is not overheating (radiator and water pump working fine). What am I missing?

2004 toyota celica will not blow hot air for twenty minutes

If the engine temprature does not reach the normal level as it used to, it may be the coolant thermostat.

Iif it does, it could be air diverter gates not working properly, cold air blowing at a a light could point to that. The diverter gates are located under the dash.

It also coul be the valuve that controls the water to the heater core, but unlikely cause of the cold air at a light.

I have a 1988 celica gts coupe the heater works for about 1 mile in the morning then stops fan is ok.

The heater control panel needs to be removed and connections re-soldered. Common problem - the solder joints crack over time and the heater will default to the cold setting. At www.st162.net we have the DIY fix posted with photos. Cheers
