Remove the 4 screws on the bottom steering column covers. remove lower than upper. then u will find out that the 2 bolts heads are broken off for security. Drill them out with 90 degree drill or a flat rate mechanic uses a air hammer and cuts it out in 5 minutes or drill it for an hour. Anyways after that you will find the shift interlock cable has a locking black head clip. use 2 small flat screw drivers and pop it free. and be easy on the plugs when unlocking the tabs. get a light and mirror if you first time. good luck Michael F.

Look for something labeled similar to IGN for Ignition. Look for any associated relays too. If you turn the key in the ignition, does ANYTHING happen to start the engine...does it click? etc...

1998 nissan quest stall at stop light, engine will not start. Engine will crank but not turning over.

Very difficult to advise here as the list of faults for this problem is numerous could be anything from a blocked cat to a temperature sensor and what you need is a mechanic to test drive it so the vehicle cuts on them then a good mechanic worth his salt will have a good idea what it is ,does it restart when cold ?? if so then the autochoke could be defective and in all honesty i couldnt tell you offhand with my head under the bonnet

99 nissan quest p0301, I replaced the sparkplugs already and im still having the same code, whats could it be?

Pretty sure this engine has a distributor. Could be a bad ignition wire, cap or rotor. Pick up all 3 and change em out. Pretty cheap fix. Check ebay and put in "nissan quest ignition". Or take a trip to autozone carquest etc... If your engine had coil packs and not a distributor, it is usually a bad pack. Good luck

Need to no how to change starter in 1998 nissan quest

There are many small steps in this process. Do yourself a favor and buy a service manual on CD over on ebay. That way you will have text and pictures and a resource for your next problem. If you can buy a tank of gas, you can afford a manual on CD.

Diagram location knock sensor quest 1998,I don't find the knock sensor on the nissan quest 1998

it is buried under the intake manifold. But ignore the knock sensor code, it means absolutely nothing. It will not resolve any issue you have. The KS code is usually the result of a broken engine mount.

go here if you have any issues.
