Its no point looking for the reset button, since it has no part to play in this case.Look for the electric contacts which come into play when the brake pedal is pressed. Normally its just two terminals which come into contact when the brake pedal is pressed and a spring is meant to seperate the contact points once the pedal is in its normal position. This small switch device's return spring is broken or it hashot so loos that it remains in contact even after the pedal is released. The brake light work by drawing current is taken from the battery and even when the vehicle is parked, ignition key also removed, the brake lights will come on if the brake pedal is pressed. You can try & see for yourself if I am right by trying it on any car that you can try this small exercise on any car..............sodeep

Sounds like the brake switch is either shorted or mal-adjusted behind the brake pedal and not opening

99 olds intrigue with the 3.5 motor and ABS light staying on

What you will have to do is get the codes from the ABS module. This will let you know what sensor or wiring is bad.But you need the code to diagnose the problem.Yes it could be a hub but you need to know which hub bearing. It could also be wiring.Best to get codes.Hope this helps.A Good luck.

1999 Olds unable to reset the security light

Usually you can pull the negative battery cable off and keep it off 2 minutes then put it back on and this resets everything. If the light stays on after that you may have something else going on.

A/C BLOWER

Older cars sometimes have many difficult problems, especially the wires problem, it is very hard to find out which wire got trouble, I think your Olds wire got hot sometimes before and some wires connected together and by pass.

Olds is GMC products, the plastic sucks easy to melt, sometimes also cause the engine over heat, because the cooling fan doesn’t work right.

Good luck, my friend.
