Question about 2004 Toyota 4Runner
When i turn my 4 whl drive switch on i get a beeping noise comining from the transfer case and it won't shif into four wheel drive 2004 toyota four runner
This problem is caused by one of two things, either the transfer case actuator motor assmebly is defective or the transfer case clutch is stuck, pull the transfer case actuator off the back of the transfer case and test it to see if it works, you will hear the motor run and the actuator will move, if it does this ok have the transfer case fluid changed and drive it for a few miles and try it again. You can also have the toyota dealer run a diagnostic test on the controller for the case, it can generate a trouble code to help diag the problem part.
