I have a 1994 Honda, with automatic trans. The horn/brake lights don't work, when we replace the 20A fuse, the horns beeps and fuse blows. We tried disconnecting the horn in the steering wheel but didn't...

Well, in the front of the car, lower front bumper I mean where your lower vent grill are, there is this circle metaliic thing, probraly kinda rusted. That is the horn, and what you can do is disconnect the wiring harness there, if not, and you don't really need a horn anymore, you can just cut the wire.

1985 honda accord, headlights and brake lights work, but tail lights will not come on. also, horn and cruise control won't work. we checked the fuses, and all fuses are good. Any ideas of how to fix it?

Tail lights will not come on; you must have a bad wire or a bad light-bulb socket. With a car that old, the LIGHT BULB SOCKETS, go bad.

The horn won't work; Take the steering wheel cover off and see what color the wire(s) are and follow them to see where they lead to, then, check with a test-light to see where the current stops, you may need a new horn or clean the connections under the steering wheel cover.

Cruise control won't work; again, you will need a test-light to figure out this problem, along-with, checking to see if there is a vacuum-hose that comes from the intake-manifold of the motor that goes to the diafram-actuator that has a cable or rod that pulls the throttle open. Check to see that it is getting an electrical-current or that it's not leaking so that the diafram can pull the rod or cable to open or operate the throttle. In-short, it might work by vacuum, vacuum and electricity or just by eletricity. Last-of-all, if everything is alright under the hood then it may be the controls inside of the car or even a disconnected wire.

1998 Accord security system goes off for no reason and goes until battery drained. Horn has been disconnected for benefit of neighborhood. Cleaned and had battery checked by Batterys Plus and battery is...

The 98-02 accord do have hood latch problem that cause the alarm to go off like what you're having. One thing you can try is disconnecting the hood latch harness only(picture letter D). If everything turn back normal then you got a bad hood latch. You could replace latch or leave it unplug, it's up to you. Your alarm will work fine with it unplug. hope this helps you.k42282_2.jpg

I can't get the stereo to turn on since I bought it and replaced the battery. I have the original card from the dealer with the code number but can't get it to work.

First thing to try is to disconnect one of the battery cables and reconnect. . . basically resetting the security system. Then re-enter the code. Be careful when working around the battery. Safety glasses highly recommended.
