Question about 2005 Ford F-150

1 Answer

2005 Ford F150, my radio keeps resetting itself randomly after the truck has been off for awhile. Everything else seems fine but was told by a valet last night that they had to jump start it. What should I check first? Kevin

Check your battery cables. They may be dirty or loose - or broken.

Double check the starter itself. I'm assuming the battery is fine. also, make sure there isn't some additional starter requirement (like stepping on the brake as well as the clutch, etc)

FORDS ARE REAL BAD ABOUT THIS. YOUR BEST BET IS TO REMOVE THE DOOR PANELS AND LUBE EVERYTHING RELATED TO THE LOCK SYSTEM WITH LITHIUM GREASE, YOU WILL HAVE TO DO THIS AGAIN IN ABOUT 2 YEARS.
