Remove all three battery cables from battery. Clean them with a wire brush and the battery post. Replace both bolts and reconnect. A common problem for these cars.

Either the battery is poor, or the alternator isn't putting out enough, or the starter is taking too much power. You can easily have the battery and alternator checked at any service station. I guess if they're okay, change the starter.

Car will not crank crank shaft will not move

It sounds to me like you have a dead battery. Even if your accessory lights work it could be that your battery doesn't have enough juice to crank the engine. Try getting a jump start and see of that solves the problem for a single start. If it does, you need a new battery.

97 chevy blazer isn't getting enough juice to start

You may have a dying cell in the battery. It will charge and seem OK but won't stay charged for long. Try a load test of the battery

My buick lesabre is having problems starting. the battery is charged, the lights come on when i turn the key but when i try to start it all i get is a click. what is the problem and how can i get to where...

Typically a battery can power the lights, etc. and still not start the car when it is "bad". The clicking is the starter not getting enough juice from the battery. Jump start the car and go to an auto parts store and get the battery checked. I suspect it will need replacing. In my 2002 the battery is under the back seat but there is a jumping post under the hood.

THE BATTERY IS LOCATED IN THE RIGHT SIDE OF THE TRUNK IN A COMPARTMENT .... COULD BE THE BATTERY IS DEAD AND NEEDS TO BE REPLACED.... JUMP STARTING YOUR CAR CAN LEAD IN SERIOUS ELECTRICAL PROBLEMS .... YOUR BEST BET IS TO GO TO YOUR LOCAL BMW DEALER AND PURCHASE A NEW BATTERY

My gauges work but it wont turn over i dont hear any noise from the starter

Three possibilities I think:
First is weak battery. There may be enough juice to light the gauges but it takes power to turn an engine.

Second, bad solenoid. The solenoid is a relay which closes the high current circuit that delivers the cranking power to the starter motor. If you hear clicking in the engine compartment (not the starter) when you turn the ignition switch on it is probably the solenoid engaging and disengaging. However if the battery is weak it won't turn the starter motor. If the solenoid is clicking look at the battery first. The solenoid could be bad but the clicking indicates it's trying to work and there just may not be enough juice to turn over the engine.

Third possibility is the starter motor itself is dead. You have to answer some questions for yourself. Is this an old, neglected car or one that has been taken care of? I would be looking at battery. Can you jump start it? If yes then weak battery is the likely problem. If the car and battery are relatively new and in good condition you should suspect the charging system, that is, the alternator. Did this happen all of a sudden on a car that was running fine recently or has the car been sitting idle for weeks/months.Eliminate the easy stuff.
Clean battery terminals?
Good battery connections and ground?
Try jump start - if yes then follow up battery/charging system. If no start then try to hear for solenoid clicking. If jump start does nothing -figure the solenoid first. If it sounds like solenoid is kicking in but engine does not turn then the starter is looking a little guilty. Jump starting will answer a lot of questions. If the car is really dead then the car that is jumping may have to be connected and revved up a couple minutes to juice up the dead battery enough to turn the starter over. If it turns over a little during the jump start but just barely then you should figure your battery is bad.

My car will not start

It's starts fine with the jump? It has to be a bad battery or connections on the battery. You said it has juice but have you taken it somewhere to have it tested? Most parts stores will do this for free. How old is the battery?
