My 1998 chevy cavalier heater and ac does not work at all also the blower and fan does not come on and it keeps blowing the fuses

I would think either your fan motor is bust. Or it could be a cabling issue.

If you can access the fan motor. Think yours is accessed behind the glove box. Test the fan.

You should be able to get a replacement from a breakers yard.

If not the fan motor is could be a failed switch/speed selector.

Access fan box 2005 chrysler sebring

The blower motor comes out of the bottom of the box behind the glove compartment. Taking the entire heater box out is a bigger job than most DIY can handle.

The heat/ac fan works only on high. All other functions operate normally. I am told there is a module located in the duct that needs replaced. Is this true, if so how do I access it?

Try opening the glove box and looking in behind it for wires coming from blower motor and they will go to a connector that is attached to the blower motor resistor, usually mounted in the ducting with 2 small screws. That resistor needs to be replaced. You may have to empty glove box and flip it down to see it, or look up under and behind glove box.

The heating and air conditioning fan only works on the highest speed position. What would cause the lower speeds not to work?

If the system is a Manual ( not the EATC / Electronic Automatice Temperature Control System ) it is most likely the blower motor resistor.

For the new body style 2004 ( not the 2004 Heritage or Lightning models ), it is behind the glove box.
Open teh glove box, press on one side, to allow the glove box to hang down.
The Blower motor resistor is located in the side of the blower motor housing.

If your 2004 is a Heritage or Lightning, the blower motor resistor is access from under the dash / glove box area.

On this type ( same as the 97-03 ) the blower motor resistor or the resistor and pigtail might need to be replaced.

Just pay attention to which body style 2004 you have ( new like the 2005-2008 or the 2004 Heritage / Lightning, which looks like the 97-03 MY trucks.

Blower motor location

Hi, I had to replace mine also. It's located under the glove compartment, passenger side. Pull off the chrome moulding around the glove box and undo the screws. This will allow you access to the blower motor cover. Be careful of the light inside the glove box. You have to ubdo it's screw and feed it through the back. Undo the cover to expose the blower motor. You can also replace the interior filter in the same area if you haven't done so yet. Two screws on a narrow cover.
Good luck.

2001 caravan fan only blows on high ac/heat both front and rear(dual air)

It is the blower motor resistor located behind the dash glove box. Take the glove box out to access and change. It is mounted on/into the fire wall.
Very easy to access, remove and install a new resistor.

Honda Civic heater / blower noise.

you need to remove your glove box assy.(beleave only 2 screws and pivot clips) make sure its not anything from glove box that has slipped behind. once box is out uf way you can access easier the blower motor assy. it actually attaches into blower box from bottom side. when looking at you will find three screw/bolts fastening motor to casing. remove those and then slowly lower motor and fan cage(attached to motor shaft) out from housing. sometimes it takes a little convincing to come out but not real tough. once out you most likely find the object causing noise in fan cage or resting up on lip area of housing unit. once found install in reverse order. let me know if this helps or if we need to dig a little deeper into! good luck!
