Sat nav on x-type SE returning all postcodes invalid!

My sat nav on x-type se is returning all postcodes and place names invalid. it looks the names are from europe and my dvd is also europe. This happened after the car was given a hard reset. Before that I had UK postcodes and places. How can I get this back? Many thanks.

You need an updated map disc to reload and update the software in the satnav unit in the boot, you probably will need a new map disc with new roads.

SOURCE: I have freestanding Series 8 dishwasher. Lately during the filling cycle water hammer is occurring. How can this be resolved

Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
goodluck!

Sat nav not speaking

Mercedes commans sat nav version 4.1 for E220, is saying off road, and when at home is showing on map that I am somewhere in the National Park Peak District. I have been told to remove fuse for sat nav should be no 28 but in boot of car near sat nav cassette fuses in box only go upto 20. Am I looking in the right place?

I have just bought an x type jaguar. The sat nav system only recognises the european network and no postcodes in england. Any ideas please??

Ensure the map data dvd that you have for the car covers the uk. it might only cover mainland europe is should state GB on the packaging or on the disk itself.
alteratively in the set up the previous owner may have removed uk maping or uk post codes from the system and they may needed to be reloaded.

if your system an navteq one prior to 2003? it is known that the mapping from that period did not support uk post codes i assume buying a new mapping software will resolve this issue. I would recommend checking with jaguar in case any system software upgrade is also needed to read later mapping data versions.

Rover 75 Connoisseur SE Sat/nav 2004 (53). The central locking button on top of the driver's passenger door doesn't pop down when the interior central locking switch is pressed, while the other 3 door...

It may be set in the main menu to lock only by the fob. I know on GMC's there are about 7 different locking options. I'm not a specialist in Land Rovers but the cheapest way out is to check all your options on the dash/steering wheel buttons.
