this vehicles headlights do not flash. when we unlock the driver door with the key and we start the car the vehicle is fine. but the horn keeps beeping on the car. if we take out the relay the alarm does not make the horn beep, if we put the relay bak in and start the car, the relay makes the car horn keep beeping like the alarm is going off

Hi

Thanks for using FixYa. The headlights would be flashing and the cars own horn would be honking. The factory alarm and the door lock mechanism are interconnected and to disconnect it either the factory remote or wire in resistors would be required. As the vehicle uses the Daimler Sentry Key® Vehicle Immobilizer which sends an RF signal to the Body Control Module (BCM) through an antenna located around the ignition cylinder to allow the engine to start only with the proper key, or bypass module. To avoid stalling of the vehicle, bypass is required to rule out its stalling.

Please do accept the solution if the issue is resolved or else revert for further assistance.

Thanks

    Hi

To disable the alarm you’ll need to insert the key in the
driver’s door, turn left, and then right to disarm and reset it. If yours is
malfunctioning, you can disable it for good by doing the following:

The factory alarms disarm wire is light green/orange (+) is
in the driver’s kick panel above the hood release. The factory alarm disarm
requires a positive trigger with a 470 ohm resistor wired in series. This
terminates the OEM alarm functions entirely.

And, if you are still unable to disarm it then you'll need
to got to an authorised chrysler dealer to get it disarmed using the factory
system chrysler scan tool (it is body control module programming),

Please do accept the solution if the issue is resolved or else revert for further assistance.

    Thanks

I have a 1998 Chrysler Sebring How can I

If you can find out how to put it in valet mode, that would at least tell you if its the alarm or something else. Also, when my battery died, I had to put the key in the ignition and turn it to on before connecting new or recharged battery back in.

Car alarm preventing car from starting

Try removing the alarm system relay, some car alarm has also a fuse on the alarm that you can remove.
Many car alarms unlock by inserting and turning car key while you connect the battery.

1998 Lexus GS400. Key stuck in ignition after reading obd2 codes

Hi,
Do you have the Owner's Manual? If so, look in it for the way to deactivate the Alarm when the battery has been disconnected. This is only for the FACTORY Lexus alarm. If yours is non-factory you'll need to 'google' the alarm brand and 'how to turn off'.

When I start my car I can not change gears out of park Chysler Sebring 2007 , today

These newer cars have a safety as part of the brake pedal system. Check along the brake pedal to see if the switch is misaligned or disconnected. This is to prevent someone from pressing the accelerator while taking the vehicle out park and causing an accident. Good luck

HELP please!! My daughter has a 96 sebring convertible and today she put her key in the door to unlock it and the alarm started going off. It wont stop, have disconnected the positive and negative battery...

Just a quick note once you hook the battery back up try locking it and unlocking it from the drivers door, if that fails you might try the passenger door. I know on some chrysler products you have to lock and lock again to arm and unlock to disarm. I hope this helps.
Thanks,
Joey

Factory alarm

the only way to reset an alarm is to disconnect the battery cables.

there is no such thing as an alarm reset switch.

My suggestion would be to go to autozone, they sell replacement key pads.
