If your belt came with marks, then they should match the marks that are on the sprockets and block, if not, you must have the cam marks align with those on the engine. If you're in doubt about the exact spot, lay a tooth pick across the sprockets so that you can check alignment to the block.

Just replaced valve covers on Nissan Maxima 2002 due to misfire. Now it smokes and burns oil every start? What's should I do .

If is is only smoking when you first start it up. Most likely the valve guide seals, oil is leaking into the cylinders and smoking when you start it up.

How crank sensor work on 2002 nissan maxima

A crankshaft position sensor or a camshaft position sensor can both cause a no fire condition. Both of these sensors are magnetic sensors that communicate with each other and pass that information on to the computer, letting it know that the motor is in correct time. Of either of these sensors go out, the computer doesn't know if the motor is in time, and can keep the engine from firing.

If you just replaced the rear main seal, double check to make sure that both sensors got reconnected (if you had to disconnect them)first thing. After that, you might look into testing them. I'm sure you can do an ohms resistance test, but also make sure you're getting voltage from the connector while trying to crank the motor. Ican tell you from experience that those cars have issues with their camshaft position sensors. Good luck!

I am getting an error code for cam shaft sensors on a 2002 Nissan max. Is is complicated to go under the hood and replace them?

It is not difficult. It is located on the timing cover on the passenger side of the engine. You'll see a wire harness going to a hall effect sensor with a 10mm bolt. They should cost around $80.

However, there was also a Recall in 2003, ID# 46615 involving a bad solder joint on the crank and cam sensor control boards. You can read about it here:

My 2002 Nissan Maxima hesitates to start

if vehicle hesitates to start do you mean long cranking time (posible fuel pump) or no crank at all then suddenly starts then it is possible starter solenoid (notorious) - complete starter assembly needs replacement.
