My 2000 lincoln ls wont start. It had a few rough starts and now won't start at all. No sound from fuel pump I checked relay, fuses, inertia switch and replaced the pumps. Still nothing.

It has a fuel pump control module that modulates the signal to the fuel pump ensure it is getting the proper powers and grounds as a rule of thumb we replace both in our shops when we do a fuel pump because both parts have a high falure rate with high milage. Check the inertia switch to ensure it has no been triped they are usually located in the trunk area but have been known to be on the pass side kick panel if triped it will not send power to fuel pump

I have a 2002 lincoln ls that has gas guage reading only a quarter tank when full. I know there is 2 pumps on this car, one is the primary pump under passenger back seat and a jet transfer pump on drivers...

Fuel pumps outside the gas tank have nothing to do with fuel gauge readings. There is a fuel level sender unit inside the tank with a float which supplys variable ground circuit to the gauge. If you can find the wire to this unit, you can ground it to see if the gauge now goes to full. If so, sender unit in tank is bad, or has bad wiring/ground.

How replace the fuel pump in a 2000 lincoln ls

The fuel pump is more than likely located in the gas tank. Call up the dealership and ask them where it is or your local auto parts store.

Bad oil switch/ fuel shutoff switch

Only Ford products have a fuel switch called an inertia switch.
GM products use a fuel pump relay and the oil pressure switch to provide power to the pump.

No power to fuel pump or feul shutoff

Fuel shutoff? Are you talking abouty the inertia switch? Are you aware that you will only have power to the inertia switch and to the fuel pump for about 2 seconds when the ignition switch is turned from OFF to RUN? If you are checking for voltage here after that time, you are not SUPPOSED to find any.

If you are not getting any voltage there during the 2-second "fuel prime" cycle, then you need to check your fuel pump relay circuits. (Primary AND secondary)

I have a 2006 ford f350 and the fuel pump isnt working is there a shutoff switch

Yes. The switch is usually located around the passengers kickpanel. There should be an access hole to press the button on the switch. Sometimes the part is just above the carpet and sometimes you have to remove the kickpanel. If you are unable to find this switch on the passengers side, then look on the drivers side kickpanel.

Under the hood is a Powerbox. The shutoff switch (inertia switch) gets its power from the Fuel pump Relay after the Ignition is turned on. If resetting the shutoff switch does not help, your fuel pump Relay may be bad. On some Ford models, the horn Relay is the same Relay used for the fuel pump. This would allow you to swap and test before buying a new Relay.

Is the inertia switch supposed to bm pressed in or depressed.

You will have no issues with the Inertia Fuel
Shutoff Switch (IFS) They are only on Ford Products

So why are you here?

What is your question?

You have no fuel pressure at the fuel rail?

Have you cycled the key while someone
puts an object to the fuel tank & listened for
the pump to come on?

2000 Lincoln Ls V8 still getting code PO420 after replaceing Cat Conv, changed 02 sensors, still getting code PO420 and now when exiting the freeway the car turns off.... have to put it in park to restart...

Could be a fuel pump issue, there was a tsb on fuel pumps going bad, although it was usually a problem with the jet pump. The main fuel pump, in the left side of the tank as I remember would pump it dry, and the jet pump wouldnt pump to the other tank, therefor over heating and possibly popping the fuse for the fuel pumps. You can take the lower part of the back seat out and then gain access through the floor to the tanks. id try to change the fuel filter first. It could also be a regulator or injectors
