It is most likly a burnt out fuse, or the whole instrument cluster is shot. that happened to my 2002 impala. all gauges froze, and nothing worked. I would check the fuse first before replacing the entire cluster. Best of luck

I have a 89 mustang gt , the temp guage seems to be working but once the cars warmed up it will stay where it should be then it seems to over heat after awhile

Are you saying the temp gauge may not be working correctly, or that the gauge does not register the engine running hot ?
Are you sure the radiator is full of coolant ?

My temp gauge and fuel quit working

This is pretty common on the 2005 Mustangs, it's caused by failing stepper motors in the instrument cluster, they control the movement of the gauges. Repair is around $180 and there's a guide on how to fix them yourself here - 2005 Mustang speedometer problem

I have a mustang gt 95 5.0 l the gauge of the temp. marks over heat but it's not over heat the engine i change the ECT but it still not working what can i do.

Hi - sad to hear your having trouble with your Mustan.

Let me try to put you in the right direction.
Sometimes the gauges become magnetized because of variations in the quality of that gauge or some other anomaly.
Try this.
Before you start the engine and while it is cold, pull the temperature wire loose at the sending unit on the engine. See if this drops the needle to zero degrees. If it does - you will notice that even when the car is operating temperature the needle will still read zero. If you are sure the car isn't over heating - drive the car like this for a few trips to the store or to work and home. If you're not 100% sure the car is running fine be sure to stop and check that no water is escaping from the engine water hoses.
Hook the wire back up and see if that doesn't demagnetize the unit. I would save my pennies and either replace the sending unit - gauge or both.

I hope this helps you get your car back to where you want it.

Please rate me high if my advice has helped you.

Thanks
RICESKI

My temperature gauge is not working

take the single wire lead off the temp sender and ground it, if gauge goes all the way to hi , you need a temp sender, if no change then you have a wire issue or need a temp gauge

Emissions test fail mixture to rich

what i used to do is pour a small bottle of rubbing alcohol in the gas tank....this mixture burns very hot so it will clean everything out thus burning all the gas particles off......i used to do this in a 1988 mustang gt that ran real rich because of performance parts and i couldnt ever get it to pass the tests....also try o2 sensors as well as possibly map sensor if equipped...this could be the problem....
temp gauge not working? check wiring and also check tempature sending unit and block temperature sensor.

The gauges have stopped working ? Fuse under dash seems to be OK ?

Behind the dash is what they call a constant voltage regulator. It controls the guages. It's small and located behind the dash near speedo.
