Question about 2001 Oldsmobile Aurora
The first thing you need to determine is whether the problem is with the engine or transmission. Does it **** when you accelerate in Park? If so, it is probably electrical in nature, with spark plug wires being the most common. If it only does it while driving you could be experiencing a transmission problem.

Sounds like a common problem with the throttle body for our models, especially model years 2001 - 2002, and some 2003's as well but not as many.
Check out: http://www.xemodex.com/
They will rebuild your throttle body (also called ETM) with a digital angle sensor which is superior to stock for $600.
You'll need to get the car checked out first to make sure it's the ETM.
