Question about 1986 Lincoln Town Car
The car turns over but will not start. my husband thinks it may be the fuel pump but id like to know what else might be most likely the problem.
Your car has a sensor in the trunk and it is called an Inertia switch. It is a safety switch and should be on the drivers side of the trunk next to the air suspension switch. Press and hold the button on top for 2 seconds and then try starting the car.
The switch prevents fires from collisions and sometimes if you slam a door or trunklid, the part will cut the fuel off.
