I also have a Buick Rainer and also had the same problem with the speedometer. Brought it to the dealer and was told their was no recall. After a week of complaining to the dealer they were able to get GM to replace the speedometer cluster, and saved me 500 dollars. This is a common problem with 04 GM trucks and SUVs they recalled trucks because there are more trucks on the road; but not the Buick Rainer because there are not enough on the road to justify the recall.

You have a bad gauge cluster.
My 04 Avalanche did this. It had a recall on it so you may check that out. I didnt see a recall for the buick so you will have to consult the dealership to check for sure.

Sounds like you need to replace your speedometer cable that runs from your dash to your transmission.

My 1997 expedition, shakes really bad when i hit 35 miles per hour. when i first got it it shook at 60 miles per hour now at 35. i dont know whats wrong

Take a close look at the tires, look for bulges and lumps. You may have a slipped belt. Where the rubber delaminates from the reinforcment belt embedded in the tire. If this is the case, you must replace the tire. Also look for missing balance weights. Around the rim you should be able to tell if a weight fell off.
Another very serious possibility is a failed shock absorber. A very rough test is to manually push / bounce one corner of truck down a few times then let go and see if it keeps bouncing more than one time, one and half max. Check all 4 corners.
Otherwise, possible bent rim, missing lug nuts, bad wheel bearing.
Good luck

Speedometer is 5 mph off.

Most speedometers are off by a few miles per hour even when new, this is normal
but yours could be caused by putting different size tires on the car check the owners manual for correct size tires
