You may have abad hot /cold blend door acuator.its bolted to air box. also make sure both heater hoses going to heater core are hot,if only one is hot and the other is luke warm or cold then you may have a clogged heater core, remove hoses (@ core) and flush with water hose go both ways a couple of times. good luck hope this helps.

2005 ford explorer that has no heater control

the next thing to check would be the selector motors, these motors are what move door to get floor or defrost or vent air and also hot/cold air, look under the dash try to find them, there bolted to heater box, there are 3, locate one by one then move every control and watch to see linkage move find the one that doesnt move and thats your problem, hope this helps.heres a picture to help you know what it looks like.7d37251.gif

2005 ford explorer will only blow cold air no matter what ther thermostat is set at, and it makes a clicking noise when it is on, why is this....please help.

You may have a thermostat that is stuck closed.  If it doesn't open, hot coolant cannot reach the heater core, thereby blowing only cold air.
