05kia sedona runs great til engine reach normal operating temp. Then pings & looses power. timing belt replaced ~4000 mi ago. problem occur right after dealer install belt. belt might be off slot or2

i think your car has got the rover kv6 engine and am sure the camshaft timing is incorrect. i worked on these engines and they are 2 different timing tools for the cams depending on the engine. sounds like they have used the incorrect tools on the rear cam belts there is 3 belts on that engine. the 2 at the back have timing positions 1 for 2ltr the other for 2.5ltr the engine control module gets confusing signals from the camshaft position sensors and will cause that problem. take it back to them and check.

I have 131,000 miles on my 2007 Mazda CX7. Runs great, timing chain/belt has never been changed nor recommended to me by dealer (had fallout at 109,000) & just oil changes since. Preparing for 14 hour...

it should have be changed at about 750000 mi ,belt...and for the most part look things over your self even before u go check fluids, serp..belt, check for cracks ..proper air in tires ...and so on

At what mileage do you recommend replacing timing belt? And should I replace water pump at the same time? I currently have 99K on my LS430. Please advise.

Every 60-80,000 miles and most definately replace the water pump and all belts that are involved as the most expense is of course the labor and you are naturally paying for that when they go in to replace the pump so it only makes sense to add on the parts that are easily installed once the timing belt is removed.
Good luck hope this helps.

At what mileage should i replace the timing belt on 2002 escort 2.0 liter?

Timing belt problems are common with the Ford Escort, mine went, without warning, at 50,000 mi. When your ready to replace it, have the water pump replaced at the same time, it'll save you $$$ in the long run.

Timing belt jumped... why?

This can be caused by not tensioning the belt corectly. When fitting a new belt you should allways replace the tensioner, and make sure the water pump pulley is in good working order. Its always wise to get your timming belt from the others are nown to be faulty.Fit new belt follow manuel when doing so.good luck

2003 Honda Civic -LX Timing belt

90000 Miles on the Timing Belt. Do not let this go! A timing belt failure can cause internal engine problems.

Should cost around 200 or so, depending upon your local labor rates.

Good Luck!
